FactSet, a global investment information company, has opened a Melbourne office to complement its Sydney presence. The new office houses 12 people with plans to expand in the short term. It is managed by sales manager Stefano Lee.

The staff consist of client service people and consultants, which the company says will give clients better access to insights, analytics and data sets.

“For almost two decades, clients in Australia have partnered with FactSet across asset classes and at every stage of the investment process,” according to Hong Kong-based Alan Bettridge, senior vice president and regional director for FactSet in Asia Pacific.

“This new office will allow us to expand our support and services for local clients while expanding our presence in the local investment community.”

FactSet has about 63,000 users around the world for desktop analytics, mobile applications and data feeds. Both Sydney and Melbourne offices service the New Zealand market too.
